Chamberlin Powell & Bon Christmas cards

Chamberlin Powell & Bon, the architecture partnership behind the design of the Barbican estate, were prolific in designing and sending their characteristic Christmas cards for over twenty years.

They had travelled extensively before working on the Barbican, and many of the cards reveal details from their travels to Italy, Spain, Egypt, India and the USA, among others. 

The series of cards reveals the diverse range of influences on the architects, who are known for their Brutalist icon but were clearly interested in a wide variety of periods and styles.
