RIBA membership for those with a professional interest in architecture

If you have a professional interest in or passion for architecture and want to become part of the RIBA, you can join as a RIBA Affiliate Member.

Affiliate Membership gives you the opportunity to extend the reach of your professional contacts by providing a platform to network, share ideas and build new professional relationships. Eligibility criteria

To become a RIBA Affiliate Member, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • have a professional interest in architecture and/or construction and have a RIBA Chartered Member as a referee 
    OR
  • hold a RIBA recognised Part 1 qualification 
    OR
  • be a lecturer (or similar) at an architectural school 

Affiliate Membership cannot be used in a promotional or professional capacity to win business.
