BIM in Birmingham

January 2017 saw the Royal Institute of British Architects and Association of Architectural Educators launch the UK's first BIM EXPO and BIM Camp. Speakers from built environment practices and academics from University’s across the UK delivered a day exploring the role of Building Information Modeling across the world.

BIM in Birmingham 2017 saw over 20 pioneers in BIM present to over 250 built environment professionals and RIBA architecture students from Birmingham City University and Coventry University attend the UK's first RIBA and aae BIM in Birmingham event. With the RIBA and aae working to educate, inform and showcase work from talented BIM Managers across West Midlands and UK.

We are currently planning BIM in Birmingham 2018 and the RIBA BIM Expo and aae BIM Camp to be delivered to six schools of architecture and have capacity for over 150 Built Environment Professionals looking to expand on their knowledge of BIM over two full days.

Event organisers Victoria Farrow, Honorary Treasurer for the aae and Conor Nolan, RIBA Project Manager will be releasing the BIM Booklet and call for 2018 submissions from BIM experts and Practices to be part of BIM in Birmingham 2018
