The RIBA Gulf Chapter announces its official elections of the Chapter Committee.
The RIBA invites members who reside in the Gulf region to stand for election to join the Committee. This is an exciting time for the Chapter and RIBA as we look to strengthen our influence and reach in the region, and being part of the Committee will give you an opportunity to take part in the next step of shaping the Chapter’s future. Members who wish to stand will need to commit to active participation and will be expected to attend regular monthly meetings.
There are ten seats available for the following positions:
- Honorary Vice Chair
- Honorary Treasurer
- Country reps
- Bahrain
- Oman
- Saudi Arabia (Jeddah)
- Jordan
- Qatar
- UAE
- Sub-group leads for:
- Communications, including social media
- Marketing and public outreach
Requirements
Any Chartered Member with a declared address in the Gulf region may stand for election for the following Honorary posts:
- Honorary Vice Chair
- Honorary Treasurer
Chartered, Associate, Affiliate, or Student Members may apply for the Country rep roles and sub-group leader roles.
All candidates will require two nominations from Chartered Members who will need to complete a nomination form.
All candidates need to complete an Election Statement outlining reasons for seeking the role. Completed Election Statements must be sent to RIBAinternational@riba.org by Monday 7 June 2021.
