Virtual Practice Showcase
Throughout the day we will be showcasing how practices in Wales illustrate the social value of their work through a virtual exhibition. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date!
Tuesday 10 October
RSAW Conservation Coach - West, all day
The RSAW Conservation Coach returns this Autumn for a 'study day on the move', where we will visit five projects, each with an individual story on the building renovations and rescue.
Wednesday 11 October
An evening at Ty Pawb, 5 - 9pm
The North Wales Society of Architects and RIBA Cheshire branch are collaborating for an autumn social evening. The evening will include a talk by James Lingard of Nidus Architects on their recent RSAW and RIBA Award winning project Pen y Common and a showing of the film High-Rise.
High-Rise is one of the rare popular films that features a depiction of an architect. Architect Anthony Royal (Jeremy Irons) lives in a metaphorical ivory tower while literally placing himself above all other tenants. While chaos and class warfare erupt below, he removes himself from the consequences of his design.
RSAW Student Colab - MUD Revisited
7 years on from the MUD report prepared by Design Circle the event is a chance to revisit the research with the next generation of architects from our schools of architecture. A workshop for students studying at WSA, UWTSD and Cardiff Met. To find out more email: rsaw@riba.org.
Thursday 12 October
Design Circle Nerdworking, 6.30 - 10.30pm
Design Circle are excited to be hosting their first charity board game night. This will be an opportunity for fun informal networking and is open to all, from construction professionals to board game enthusiasts. Games and tuition on the night will be provided by Rules of Play, and playgroups will be selected randomly on arrival. The focus is on games with an architecture or construction theme, and the value of the ticket will go directly to our nominated charity, the Architects Benevolent Society.

Student Awards Presentation, 5 - 6.30pm
Join us to celebrate the winners of the 2022 RSAW Student Awards from the Welsh School of Architecture and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. To find out more and book your place email: rsaw@riba.org.
Practice Exhibition and social evening, 7 - 10pm
This year's RSAW Practice Exhibition takes place in Morgan Arcade, Cardiff. We welcome built environment professionals and students to come along and see the work of Architectural Practices across Wales. Join us for pizzas and drinks to celebrate the end of Design Week 2023!
