Guerrilla Tactics conference

Guerrilla Tactics

RIBA's creative business conference for small and medium sized architectural practices

Guerrilla Tactics is the RIBA’s annual flagship conference for small and medium sized architectural practices. Held in early November, the event provides a wealth of insightful information with a focus on essential business skills for architects, and how they can develop their practices through innovation.

Each year a new Creative Director is selected through an open call to develop the annual theme and conference programme, inspiring practices to think outside the box and sharpen their business acumen.

Past Creative Directors have included Pooja Agrawal and Finn Williams of Public Practice (2018), Amanda Baillieu and Gus Zogolovitch of Developer Collective (2019), Tomas Millar of Millar + Howard Workshop (2020), and Archio with Robert Fiehn Architectural Communications (2021).

In parallel, a diverse and topical CPD programme is on offer to help practitioners fulfil their CPD requirements. The entire programme is RIBA CPD Certified.

Guerrilla Tactics 2022: Could you be the next Creative Director?

Are you heading up a successful small practice and would like to help lift up your peers? Are you tuned into discussions on the future of practice and would like to shine a light on inspiring innovators? Or do you work with architects and practice leaders on the daily and understand the challenges they are grappling with? Then the role might be for you.

The RIBA is now seeking applications for the post of Creative Director of Guerrilla Tactics 2022. This is an opportunity to make the event your own by devising the conference theme, developing the programme of speakers and chairing the day.  You will be supported by the RIBA team and a steering group of small practice directors.

For further information or to apply, please see the application form. The call closes on 4 March 2022.
