Discover contemporary art galleries from modernist cubes to eighteenth century mansions, on this walking tour around the art spaces of Mayfair.
From the Cork Street art quarter to the reserve of St James, the tour will discuss galleries in heritage buildings as well as purpose-built contemporary spaces, designed in the last twenty years. How we see art is shaped by the architecture and spaces that surround it, so what are the forms that help to make today’s art gallery successful and what has been the architect’s function?
Discover some of Mayfair’s art gallery highlights on this walking tour with photographer and art tutor, Anthony Palmer.
Meeting place: Bond Street Elizabeth Line station, exit Davies Street, London, W1K 5JF
