Let’s explore our artistic abilities and turn our digital devices into tools for creativity. Discover how your iPad can be an enjoyable, versatile and serious medium for contemporary drawing using the Brushes Redux drawing app.
This group workshop introduces you to the theme in our free downloadable resource ‘Digital drawing: Create art using your smartphone or tablet’. Before attending the workshop, you’re encouraged to look at the resource so that you can make the most of the workshop. This event is led by artist Wilson Yau and in a group online you’ll be introduced to pieces from the RIBA’s world-class architectural collections to help inspire the creative tasks.
The workshop will take place online via Microsoft Teams. A link will be sent to participants with confirmed bookings. This event is for those aged 18 years or older. Although no experience of digital drawing or any drawing apps is required, basic knowledge of how to use an iPad is highly recommended.
Participants will need to provide their own materials:
- iPad (please ensure it is fully charged)
- Brushes Redux app downloaded to the iPad
- Stylus (optional)
