This event is now fully booked.
Break down artistic boundaries, communicate new ideas, think differently and have fun by making art in new ways through experimental techniques that don’t rely on drawing the world or our ideas exactly as they seem. After all, not everyone draws or creates in the same way. No previous artistic experience required.
This group workshop introduces you to the theme in our free downloadable resource ‘Power up! New and quick ways to power up your creativity and approach to making art’. Before attending the workshop, you’re encouraged to look at the resource so that you can make the most of the workshop. This event is led by artist Wilson Yau and in a group online you’ll be introduced to pieces from the RIBA’s world-class architectural collections to help inspire the creative tasks such as drawing with tape and an eraser.
The workshop will take place online via Microsoft Teams. A link will be sent to participants with confirmed bookings. This event is suitable for those aged 18 years or older.
Participants will need to provide their own materials:
- Masking tape or washi tape
- Eraser
- Pencil - any shade is fine, but 6B or 5B would be useful
- Pencil sharpener
- Scissors
- Ruler
- A4 paper (plain or coloured)
