Deco-rate and collaborate at London Transport Museum

Join RIBA Learning to for two days of drawing, designing and deco-rating at London Transport Museum

Join RIBA Learning to draw, design and deco-rate a beautiful brick to add to our collaborative Art Deco cardboard tube station. Together we will build up a pattern of bricks inspired by Art Deco motifs and twenties style to add to our Charles Holden-inspired tube station den.  

This event will be run as a two session between 11am and 4pm. It is part of London Transport Museum’s October half term Roaring Twenties family programme, with all activities included for free with entry tickets. More information about the event, tickets and visiting London Transport Museum.  

London Transport Museum  

From a steam engine that operated underground to iconic works spanning a century of graphic design, London Transport Museum explores the heritage of London and its transport system, and the stories of the people who have travelled and worked in the city over the last 200 years.  

RIBA Learning on the Road  

The RIBA Learning programme provides exciting opportunities for everyone to explore, question and celebrate architecture. As of June 2025, RIBA's 66 Portland Place location is closed for a three year refurbishment. During this time Learning will continue to deliver events in collaboration with other cultural partners. Upcoming events for families and young people.  

Accessibility  

The museum is accessible for wheelchair users, with level access at the ticket desk and lifts to all floors except the mezzanine level of the Global Poster Gallery. Accessible toilets and baby changing facilities are available on the ground floor.

The nearest step-free station is Tottenham Court Road which is around 10 to 15 minutes from the Museum.
