Drawing Workshop: Architectural Aspirations

Participate in an on-site drawing session and be further inspired by our collection.

Participate in an on-site architecture drawing session and be further inspired by our collection of historic pattern books as we explore how elaborate drawings and detail may speak of architectural value and aspiration, past and present.

To provide context, we will begin by looking at collection items that explore Georgian architecture and design before visiting the exhibition to view, discuss and sketch Pablo’s work.

We will then take the streets to explore the surrounding area, focusing on some of the elements, decoration and symmetry on the elevation of buildings to explore what status and value these may give to this architecture. When we return to the RIBA, we will continue to draw, looking out onto the skyline.

With Marianne Holm Hansen.

All drawing materials provided. For 18+

This event is part of the Pablo Bronstein: Conservatism, or the Long Reign of Pseudo-Georgian Architecture exhibition.
