Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is a leading global architecture, interior design, engineering, and urban planning firm.
Since its founding more than 80 years ago, SOM has earned a reputation for design excellence with a portfolio that includes some of the most important architectural accomplishments of the 20th and 21st centuries and has been a leader in the research and development of specialised technologies, new processes and innovative ideas, many of which have had a palpable and lasting impact on the design profession and the physical environment.
Kent Jackson has been with SOM for 24 years and in that time has worked on projects that vary in scale and use, including corporate offices, airports, residential developments and large mixed use urban schemes. Kent currently leads a team developing innovative approaches to design. He is a Global Ambassador to the World Green Building Council 2020 campaign and actively advocates for the decarbonisation of the built environment.
His recent projects include the JTI Headquarters in Geneva, The Stratford in London, and Karlatornet, Scandinavia’s tallest building.
