RIBA Friends architecture walking tour: It's an education

Join us for this RIBA Friends walking tour where was ask the question: is it educational needs that shape architecture, or architecture that shapes education?

This guided tour, led by award-winning Blue Badge Guide Paula Cooze, is definitely not a tour of schools.

On this tour, we will pose the question:

Is it educational needs that shape architecture, or architecture that shapes education?

Education will be considered in its widest remit, from cradle to grave, and via a range of providers. The tour will wind its way through Bloomsbury, starting with what has been described as the most important modernist building in London, then on to the delights of Art Deco. Other architectural styles and educational theories will be considered on the tour. The tour will then conclude at the River Thames by Waterloo Bridge.
