As part of Dubai Design Week and in recognition of the recent signing of the MOU between Dubai Land Department and RIBA, RIBA members are invited to attend a talk given by leading expert in modular construction, Ben Derbyshire (RIBA Immediate Past President), on 'Homes for a Sustainable Future - Steps towards resolving crisis in the built environment'.
A brief history of prefabrication in housing will be offered, leading to the current generation of modular offsite manufacture as practised by HTA Design LLP. Compelling evidence will be presented to demonstrate the particular contribution in terms of predictable performance in quality, sustainability, user satisfaction and investor confidence offered by modular offsite construction.
