Open house: 66 Portland Place 2024

Celebrate open house at 66 Portland Place, London and explore RIBA’s magnificent 1930s building.

Discover the stories and structure of the ‘home of architecture’ on one of our guided tours throughout the day. Take the opportunity to view highlights from RIBA Collections' world class architectural material related to 66 Portland Place, London on its 90th year.

Open house will be the final opportunity to visit the ‘Raise the Roof: Building for Change’ exhibition, with bookable events happening throughout the day.

Guided tours of the building will run at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, these may be subject to change on the day. Please sign up on arrival. Tours are free on a first come first served basis, and a self-guided tour will also be available.

A tour of the library exhibition on photographer Martin Charles will take place at 1.30pm.

A curator-led tour of the exhibition will be at 11am (also first come first served).

There will be a BSL tour of the Raise the Roof Building for Change exhibition at 2pm, this is bookable via the website.

Please note, the Dominion Screen in the Florence Hall has been temporarily transformed as part of the Raise the Roof exhibition and the screen will not be viewable in its entirety during the Open House event.
