PK03 | Architecture & Housing

The RIBA has organised a series of lunch and learn sessions about various topics, as part of our knowledge and learning programme. In March, we launched with topic 'Architecture and Community' later in July we looked at 'Architecture and Energy', both successful events with lots of interest.

PK03 ‘Architecture & Housing’ Tuesday 29 October, 12:30 to 2:30pm, Watershed.

The RIBA has organised a series of lunch and learn sessions about various topics, as part of our knowledge and learning programme. In March, we launched with topic 'Architecture and Community' later in July we looked at 'Architecture and Energy', both successful events with lots of interest.

This time we are teaming up with the Bristol housing festival and inviting four professionals to share a different perspective on 'Architecture and Housing'.

Solutions for exclusivity and more affordable housing is of the utmost importance, and this event is a forum to share ideas and experiences, and to explain what is believed required, to strengthen the need for better housing solutions.

The presenters:

  • Nick Fairham, Principal Architect & leads Bristol studio - BDP Architects
  • Cillr Nicola Beech, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Spatial Planning and City Design - Bristol City Council

Doors open from midday and lunch will be provided, with the presentations running between 1pm to 2pm. Please join us to keep the conversations going.

The presentations will be done in a style called Pecha Kucha which uses imagery and spoken word to create a memorable, meaningful and concise presentations, completed in 6 minutes and 40 seconds (20 images, 20 seconds each).
