Re-Fabricate: People, Place, Planet Event

Please join us for an evening presentation and discussion. Topics will include our relationship with the environment, waste in the construction industry and Re-Fabricate’s programme and output. Our various projects span from recycled textile furniture to glass recycling systems and sawdust acoustic panels, some of which are being developed to become available on the commercial market.

There is no doubt we are facing a climate crisis, which is largely caused by us. To mitigate the damage and ensure the future prosperity of humanity we must act fast in changing our relationship with our only planet. Re-Fabricate is an initiative to inspire and unify young creatives to develop sustainable solutions for a renewed industry based around circular economy principles. Since it launched in September 2019, the project has grown in size and ambition through its combination of activism and pragmatic action drawing attention from hundreds of professionals.

Our various projects span from recycled textile furniture to glass recycling systems and sawdust acoustic panels, some of which are being developed to become available on the commercial market. The programme has adapted to the challenges of the pandemic with video meetings and DIY material testing, proving that sustainable solutions to the industry can also be achieved when working at a distance.

The session will conclude with a question and answer discussion, where we would love to hear further opinions on how we can collaboratively work towards a more circular and sustainable future.
