RIBA Bristol & Bath: Architecture and heritage

RIBA Bristol & Bath are looking forward to their summer social, with an excellent talk, a tour of the gardens, refreshments, and networking.

About the talk series

This series was launched in March 2019, with sessions being held online during lockdowns that have gained momentum in both popularity and success. This summer, RIBA Bristol & Bath is offering a limited number, in-person event looking at architecture and heritage at St Georges Bristol.

For these talks, professionals are invited to speak and offer different perspectives on a particular topic. We aim to have a varied audience too - so invite colleagues, fellow architects, urban designers, planners, and councillors.

These events are a forum to share ideas and experiences, and to explain what is required to strengthen the need for links between architecture and heritage.

Event format

This is an in-person event with limited numbers. Weather permitting, the event will be held outside with drinks and refreshments.

Guest speakers

  • Fiona Lauchlan (Purcell)
  • Simon Birch (Civic Society)
  • Peter Insole (Bristol City Council)
  • Katharine Hegarty (Noma Architects and RIBA Bristol & Bath branch)
