RIBA East: Art and architecture lecture with Bob Allies (Allies and Morrison)

The prestigious Art and Architecture lecture is delivered by esteemed architect and co-founder of Allies and Morrison, Bob Allies.

The Hertfordshire Association of Architects and University of Hertfordshire are delighted to be co-hosting the 2024 art and architecture lecture with Bob Allies who considers how art informs or inspires their practise.

About the speaker

Bob Allies founded the practice with Graham Morrison in 1984. In the years since, he has established a design approach that finds enjoyment in simplicity, technical rigour and longevity. An architect, urbanist and teacher, he is a widely published author and editor, and frequently lectures on architecture and the city.

Bob has shaped many of our significant masterplans, from King’s Cross to London’s Olympic Legacy, from Greenwich Peninsula to Brent Cross Cricklewood.

About the arts and architecture lecture series

The annual art and architecture lecture has been a highlight of the HAA calendar for almost 20 years as an opportunity for inspiring architects to share their experience and ideas of how the disciplines of art and architecture can combine.

The HAA have been honoured to welcome speakers including Sir Peter Cook, Will Alsop OBE, John Outram, and Simon Allford past-president RIBA among others.

For the latest edition of the art and architecture series, the Hertfordshire Association of Architects and University of Hertfordshire have joined together; promoting greater relationships between the local professional and student communities.
