With the pandemic limiting opportunities for face-to-face meetings over the past 12 months, a new series of digital meetings are planned to ensure architects working across North Cambridgeshire can remain connected.
Our first session, hosted by Duncan Baker-Brown of BakerBrown, will be focusing on the issues around sustainable design and the circular economy. The construction industry accounts for 38% of CO2 emissions, which means it's more vital than ever that environmental design is firmly at the centre of change.
Duncan Baker-Brown is a practising architect, academic and environmental activist. Author of The Re-Use Atlas: a designers guide towards a circular economy, he has practised, researched, and taught around issues of sustainable development and closed-loop systems for more than 25 years.
North Cambridgeshire Society of Architects (NCSA) covers practices and practitioners based in Fenland, Huntingdonshire, and Peterborough. If you would like to get more involved with your local branch, please contact RIBA East.
