Join the RIBA and the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) for a webinar on the RIBA Sustainable Outcomes Guide on Wednesday 17 June, 9:30 – 10:30 NZ time (16 June, 22:30—23:30 BST).
Gary Clark, Chair of the RIBA Sustainable Futures Group and Principal, Regional Leader for Science and Technology at HOK’s London Studio will discuss the RIBA’s Sustainable Outcomes Guide. Launched by the RIBA in late 2019, the Sustainable Outcomes Guide seeks to distil the differing complexities of sustainability into a series of eight outcomes aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The guide establishes concise metrics and assessment tools that architects can use to accurately measure and verify the impact of their designs.
How can such a well-presented, easily digestible, and necessarily ambitious roadmap be assembled in New Zealand? With significant Government infrastructure investment being contemplated in response to COVID-19, how to ensure design intent is transformed into measured and verified by in use metrics, to ensure a sustainable future?
In this webinar, Gary Clark, will provide an overview of the RIBA Sustainable Outcomes Guide, insights into how it was formulated, and offer thoughts on what needs to happen next.
