RIBA Yorkshire Small and Emerging Practice Network: An introduction to equity, diversity, and inclusion - the way we work

An networking event designed to create dialogue and discussion while providing support for small, new, and emerging practices in the North.

Join the Small and Emerging Practice representative for Yorkshire, Paul Wainwright, on Thursday 18 April at 1pm for an in-person workshop at Cubo Sheffield with the esteemed equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) luminary, Kudzai Matsvai.

About the workshop

In a profession that is so heavily centred around people, it is imperative that we as designers are able to apply EDI-based thinking to the way we work in design.

This workshop session will focus on the real life applications of EDI principles and , through a series of design exercises, this session will work towards equipping attendees with the tools needed to turn EDI ideas into concrete design drivers to enhance and improve the space we create.

This is a friendly and sociable meetup for RIBA Members to share experiences and learn from others on a range of topics and issues.
