The Façade talks: A holistic approach to sustainability

Join RIBAJ for a breakfast briefing in partnership with ALUPROF UK. Part one of a new Façade talks series.

The first in a new series of Façade talks, this briefing examines projects addressing the challenges of designing for sustainability, including embodied and operational carbon.

Some of the people you can look forward to meeting:

  • Michael Stacey, Academic Partner, University College London and founder, Michael Stacey Architects who will deliver insights from his RIBA published book, Aluminium: a studio design guide.
  • Emma Holt, Director, Ben Adams Architects who will deliver a case study presentation on Graphite Square, Vauxhall, London, a unique urban destination blending industrial heritage with modern design and contemporary innovation.
  • James White, Project Consultant, ALUPROF who will deliver a presentation on how to take a holistic approach to sustainability in the design and specifications process.
  • Tomasz Jemiol, Project Architect, Stride Treglown who will deliver a case study presentation on on Purdown View, University of West of England’s Low Carbon Residences, the largest certified Passivhaus development in the UK and one of the biggest in the world.
