Introducing the amazing world of Populous. Whilst the world is still acclimatising to the new way of working we wanted to look at some industries that have been affected by these new challenges to see how they are adapting to the changes.
So we asked one of world leaders in stadia design to speak to you about some of their inspirational projects for sport and entertainment and explore how future architects need to design for this sector.

Name: Maria Knutsson-Hall
Title: Principal
Since joining Populous in 2013, Maria has been involved in the design and development of a number of UK Premier League facilities and has worked on concepts to attract more user groups to European stadia.
Maria played a lead role in the development of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and led work on the Tottenham Hotspur Experience building.
During her studies and professional life, Maria has also been interested in biomimicry, biophilia and integrating sustainable solutions into the built environment. Maria has a keen interest in teaching and is currently running a design studio at Populous, as well as being a Senior Teaching Fellow at The Bartlett School of Architecture.
