What happened to radical teaching?

Why have the teaching methods of the Bauhaus maintained such a dominant influence over western arts education, and were its methods really as radical as we are led to believe? Join our panel of curators and educators to discuss.

A panel of experienced educators and curators discuss some of the innovative models for creative learning used by established institutions such as museums and universities, but also by emerging community groups and individuals looking to offer something new.

Who is taking up the mantle of creative multi-disciplinary education today and is it more important than ever to revisit the radical curriculum of the Bauhaus?

Speakers include:

  • Fiona MacDonald, RIBA Learning Manager and Co-founder of MATT+FIONA
  • Jeremy Till, Head of School, Central Saint Martins
  • Sam Thorne, Director, Nottingham Contemporary
  • Victoria Walsh, Head of Curating Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art
