YAPF: All things North East

Join our Young Architectural Practitioners Forum (YAPF) for an evening of celebration, conversation, and networking.

YAPF are delighted to host a conversation and celebration of practice, education, and research from across the North East. This event is an opportunity to hear from different perspectives of the profession over drinks and networking.

Speakers will be announced on our NE and YAPF social channels.

By joining the celebration of all things North East you will be contributing to a vibrant network of regional professionals. The North East has a history of fantastic architectural heritage, and this forum allows us to explore how contemporary architectural practices are responding to the regions evolving needs. Whether you are an aspiring architect or already in practice your contribution to this forum will be valuable.

The YAPF provides opportunity for young architects in the North East to learn, communicate and engage in regional activity.

About the venue

Newcastle City’s first and only Coffee Shop and Kitchen dedicated to challenging UK food waste. They believe change is created not by a handful of people doing ‘sustainability’ perfectly, but by everyone doing a little something. The Magic Hat's profits go to supporting other projects working on food waste prevention across the North East.

The magic of the space has always come from the diverse people and communities who’ve spent time there. It’s never been just a café—it’s been a performance space, a teaching space, a gallery, a test kitchen, a business hub, a community resource, and a home to many. It’s become a vital, loved third space in the city.
