On 24 February 2021, the RIBA and Geberit hosted an online seminar for members, non-members and students in the Gulf. The module provided delegates with an insight into the hydraulic principles of in-house drainage systems with a focus on high-rise buildings.

The inaugural d3 Architecture Festival in partnership with the RIBA Gulf Chapter, with the support of RIBA, was held in Dubai during Design Week on November 11-14, raising the curtain on the emirate’s first platform showcasing architecture, urbanism and development.

From 23 to 26 November, The Big 5 Digital Festival ran an online event to connect and support the global construction community during these challenging and crucial times. As the festival's architecture knowledge partner, the RIBA delivered two seminars.

As a part of the RIBA and Geberit Seminar Series, the RIBA hosted a seminar exclusive to the students of the Heriot-Watt University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on the topic of Embedding Acoustics into Design.

Christos Passas, Design Director at Zaha Hadid Architects gave an online presentation of the recently completed OPUS building by ZHA in Dubai.
