RIBA Hampshire’s April lecture, Designing in historic contexts, will be hosted by Josh Greig and Charlotte Robinson of Purcell and we are delighted to return to Winchester for an evening of thought provoking discussion on architecture within heritage settings. A big thank you to Purcell for hosting us in this iconic city.
Purcell is renowned for its expertise in conservation and heritage architecture, with an impressive portfolio of work on some of the UK’s most significant historic sites. As part of our ongoing series exploring the relationship between contemporary design and heritage, join us as Josh and Charlotte reflect on their work and approach to architecture in historic environments.
About the talk
Josh Greig, project lead for the Radley College Chapel extension, and Charlotte Robinson, architect to Winchester Cathedral, will present a selection of case studies that explore how architects can sensitively and creatively respond to existing fabric. Their talk will cover both the challenges and rewards of working in these richly layered contexts—where conservation and innovation meet.
This promises to be a fascinating and insightful evening. Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot
Doors will open at 6pm for a glass of wine and some informal networking, with the lecture beginning at 6.30pm. There is parking available nearby.
