The RIBA National Award winning extension of the Fratry at Carlisle Cathedral encapsulates not only the architectural language of the existing Grade I Listed building but also the religious spirit of this place; leaving a lasting and impressive memory to its visitors.
The project architect, Ingrid Petit, has managed with her design to successfully maintain the integrity of the structure while enhancing the heritage values of the place: the architectural, historical, and community.
