RIBA Wiltshire: AGM with lunch and tour of Glove Factory Studios

Get to know other architects, share ideas and help shape RIBA activity in your area.

This is an exciting time for RIBA in Wiltshire as we are re-establishing our branch and talking about new ways to come together, learn, and showcase architecture in the county.

At the AGM, we will begin as a blank canvas and think about the needs of architects in Wiltshire. There will be open discussion with the opportunity to suggest activities and share common issues. The AGM follows the online election, so you will be introduced to your new branch members and meet your new RIBA Southwest Regional Engagement Partner, Nathalie Morton.

This event is open to all members as well as students and practices of all sizes.

This will be followed by lunch from Wild Herb at the Field Kitchen (please let us know about any allergies), a walking tour of the Glove Factory and adjacent site - which has been reimagined by Mitchell Eley Gould.

About Glove Factory Studios

Glove Factory Studios is a unique workspace environment in Holt, Wiltshire, just nine miles from Bath and formed from a series of 17th - 19th century tannery buildings. These buildings have been restored into an industrial heritage complete with workspaces, meeting rooms, an exercise studio, courtyard gardens, parkland, wild swimming lake, and a café.

Next to the Holt Tannery (Glove Factory Studios), Mitchell Eley Gould were appointed to develop an underused site for a new housing development. The key aspiration for the new-build residential complex was that there should be a clear relationship with the historic development. The project won the award for best Medium Residential Development at the Brick Awards 2023.

RIBA Branch and Chapter elections are held bi-annually during January, February and March. Find out more.
