Join us to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our RIBA Yorkshire 2024 Student Awards winners.

We will celebrate the work and efforts of award-winning students from five Yorkshire schools of architecture.

The awards celebratory event will be taking place on Thursday 18 July, in the atrium of the award-winning Barbara Hepworth Building.

The night will include drinks and food provided from an excellent local service.

The evening will consist of an awards presentation ceremony with categories to showcase the innovative student work across the region, followed by celebratory nibbles and drinks.

This event will be the perfect opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our future architects.

About the venue

The Barbara Hepworth Building is home to the University of Huddersfield’s faculty of Art, Design and Architecture.

Named after the Yorkshire born sculptor, it was also built with a focus on local resources and employment being used. It's aim was to unite the different disciplines that work within it through open space studios.

The front of the building overlooks the Huddersfield Narrow Canal that runs through the the University's campus, and was designed with environment and sustainability in mind. The external walls have been built to act as solar control on the South and East sides.

It was shortlisted for the 2020/2021 RIBA Yorkshire Awards.
