Ben Derbyshire, President of the RIBA, is keen to promote greater use of and involvement in research across the profession, saying:

'I believe the future of our profession lies in building a body of knowledge through collaborative research. Indeed, it is one of the most important imperatives for the Institute to broker opportunities, aggregate findings and communicate outcomes of research as we look to the future.

'It seems particularly topical that the theme for the President’s Awards for Research this year will be Ethics and sustainable development, coinciding as it does with the launch this year of a commission to look into this vital topic.'

For full details on how to submit your research, please see our submission guidelines. If you would like to know more about the Awards, please visit our President’s Awards for Research page.
