Join the RIBA Conservation South Group for our final lunchtime talk of 2023 with guest speaker Scot Masker of Masker Architects.
During this talk, Scot's presentation will take us through the works at Old Roche Court. He will also discuss the architect’s role in being proactive and progressive in presenting an opportunity to a client. This includes providing common sense (fast track) solutions and in the importance of a collaborative relationship between the other partners and consultants in the process.
Old Roche Court
The group of buildings on the 11-acre site at Old Roche Court includes a 17th century Grade II* listed house, tithe barn and Grade II listed ancillary buildings.
The work is currently ongoing and Scot's presentation will take us through the process to date, including the strategies undertaken to save these heritage buildings at risk, along with collaboration and negotiations with Historic England and the Wiltshire Council.
The presentation will also explore the preliminary works undertaken to enable the project and make it viable. Scot will also take you behind the scenes and share his insight about the current state of the project.
