Skill Up: Spare spaces
Saturday 26 November 2022, 10am to 12.30pm
Left-over or spare spaces are abandoned areas in towns or cities that usually lack of maintenance, care and love. They can be as small as an alley or as big as a car park. Some may look threatening, others like a small green oasis. One thing is sure, they have much potential to come to life and attract people.
In this online creative workshop, we will identify leftover spaces in our neighbourhood, and evaluate and investigate ways to use them more effectively. You will sketch your ideas on paper and create a mood board with colours, textures, materials and ideas to create your concept for your left-over space in the neighbourhood. The workshop will conclude with a speed modelling session from recycled materials you have at home to create a conceptual model for your leftover space.
