Celebrating the best research in the fields of architecture and the built environment
The RIBA is now welcoming entries for the 2018 RIBA President's Awards for Research, which includes the RIBA President's Medal for Research.
We invite all those conducting research related to architecture, the practice of architecture and the built environment to submit research that has been completed in the last 15 months.
Submissions close on 3 June 2018.
Submit your research
If you would like to submit your work for the RIBA President's Awards for Research, please read the submission guidelines before beginning your application.
Winners are selected from each of the three set categories and the changing Annual Theme, which allows the RIBA to highlight a subject area of specific interest and relevance:
Design and Technical
Cities and Community
History and Theory
Ethics and Sustainable Development - Annual Theme
The Annual Theme was chosen to encourage submissions from the broad spectrum of Sustainable Development projects and research, and also to address the increasing focus on ethics across the industry.
The President's Awards for Research attracts work from across the broad and diverse landscape of 'architectural research', illustrated succinctly by the Book of Abstracts and is reflected in the experience of the equally diverse judging panel.
