Eligibility Criteria

To become a RIBA Chartered Practice, your office must meet the following criteria. If registering more than one office, each one will need to demonstrate and declare that:

  • at least one of your full-time principals (Director or Partner) must be a RIBA Chartered Member and on the ARB register
  • at least one in 10 of all staff must be a RIBA Chartered Member  and all of your architectural work must be supervised by a RIBA Chartered Member
  • at least one in eight staff employed in your practice must be on the ARB register, an RIBA Associate Member or a RIBA Affiliate Member/CIAT member
  • your practice must commit to operating policies regarding best practice in: Employment; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Health and Safety; Environmental Management; and Quality Management
